The Barbican’s annual arts extravaganza returns for a fun-packed, intellectually stimulating weekend of theatre, dance, music, film, food, visual art and spoken word. The two day fun fest is set to surprise and excite Londoners, kids and adults alike in our special activity areas; Move, Watch, Craft, Noise, Make, Eat and Play . The Barbican presents a variety of events, workshops and fun activities for your family and friends to enjoy. There is something for everyone, come on down and try Yoga or learn new moves in our Bollywood or Rajistani Folk Dance classes. Enjoy a whole host of amazing performances for you and your family by the LSO, Barbican Young Poets and percussion ensemble Sankorfa. Why not take on your friends and family in Come Along, Ping Pong and go on an interactive adventure around the Barbican centre in Captain Barbican. Make your own house and join the community in Home Sweet Home, and join in and play with our young drummers as they take you through original beats and rhythms in World in Motion Drumming. Some activity is free and some ticketed – but all is fun!! Don’t rush home on Saturday, stay for our special LATES night when the foyers will be buzzing with activity until late into the evening.
The fourth Do Something Different Weekend coincides with EAST a festival led by the Greater London Authority championing the best of East London.
